Why do I need a maintenance contract for my defibrillator?
An AED is a medical device that we hope we will never need to use, but one that we need the peace of mind of knowing that it will work as required in an emergency.
When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, prompt defibrillation within 3 to 5 minutes of collapse can improve survival rates from 6% to 74% – a massive increase. Having a well maintained defibrillator, and people who are confident in using one can be the difference between life and death.
Defibrillator consumables, such as pads and batteries, typically have a lifespan between 2 to 5 years – and cannot be guaranteed to work outside of this.
Signing up to one of Defib Warehouse’s maintenance contracts means that you don’t have to worry about your pads and batteries expiring. We log your expiry dates in our system and notify you when expiry is coming up – we even offer a generous discount on replacement consumables through the maintenance period.
What is ELSA e-learning?
Our bespoke e-learning platform, ELSA, is home to everything you need to help familiarise yourself, or those around you with your new defibrillator.
Our CPR and AED course was created to build confidence and knowledge in understanding, and responding to, cardiac arrest. With 10 licenses per year, these can be allocated to family, friends or colleagues.
Using ELSA is simple, once your maintenance contract has been agreed and signed, the person responsible for the e-learning at your organisation will receive an email to log in and set courses for others by entering their details.
Once one course is started, this counts as one license being used.
Peace of Mind
With 2 services spread across the 5 year defibrillator maintenance contract period, you can rest with peace of mind knowing that your device has been inspected by a fully qualified engineer who has years of experience.
In case of any issues with your device, such as product recalls from the manufacturer, we also offer a loan unit for you to keep on site while the issues with your defibrillator are being resolved.
