We recommend that your AED is Serviced on an annual basis to ensure any problems are caught early.
Our AED Service/Health Check is available for new and existing customers.
When ordering an AED Service/Health Check please add the type of AED and device serial number in the order notes at checkout. Once your order is placed our friendly team will be in contact to arrange a date for our engineer to visit your premises.
The comprehensive checks include:
- A full visual check of the unit to check for damage to the casing, LCD screen, buttons and connections.
- Battery and electrode pad check for compatibility, installation/expiration date, damage and when replacements are due
- A check of the electrode pad connection terminal to ensure it is clear of debris and in good condition
- Where appropriate the automated external defibrillator is connected to a simulator and turned on. The defibrillator must administer a shock, at the correct energy level, when appropriate (shockable heart rhythm, VF or VT) and not administer a shock when appropriate (no heart rhythm) to pass the test.
- A certificate is issued to verify the AED has passed or failed the Service/Health Check (please note: if electrode pads or battery have expired/not fit for use the unit will fail inspection)
