During quality testing, a manufacturing issue with a circuit board component was identified that may cause the device to fail. This may occur during charging, while administering a shock, or immediately after a shock has been delivered. Resulting in the device becoming inoperable, potentially delaying or preventing treatment.

Please be reassured, this issue was found during testing and not in patient use, and no adverse events have been reported. There is a very minimal likelihood that the device will fail, but as a voluntary measure the manufacturer will provide you with a replacement device, complete with a brand new 8-year warranty for your peace of mind.
