Defib Warehouse is proud to be support Lagan’s Foundation, a charity that provides home healthcare and respite for families of children with heart conditions and feeding difficulties. As a business that helps people prepare for cardiac emergencies, supporting a charity that helps children with heart conditions felt like a natural fit.

How We’re Helping

For every defibrillator sold by Defib Warehouse, we’re donating £1 to Lagan’s Foundation throughout 2026. We’re doing this alongside the other businesses in the Safe Life UK & Ireland group, all of which are backing the charity this year.

About Lagan’s Foundation

Lagan’s Foundation is a registered charity (no. 5040956) based in Bolton, Lancashire. The charity supports families with children who have complex health conditions, particularly Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) and complex feeding difficulties, through specialist care at home and in the community. This gives parents time to rest and helps children get care in familiar surroundings. The charity was founded by Carren Bell in memory of her daughter Lagan.

Why It Matters

Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect in the UK. The British Heart Foundation reports that heart defects are diagnosed in at least 1 in 150 births, an average of 13 babies every day.

Medical advances mean far more of these children now survive. The BHF says 8 out of 10 babies born with congenital heart disease now reach adulthood. But treatment doesn’t stop at the hospital door. Many families face months or years of specialist care, hospital stays and sleepless nights, often with little support once they get home.

That’s where Lagan’s Foundation steps in. The charity provides specialist care and respite at home and in the community, giving parents time to rest and children care in familiar surroundings.
