Benefits of BeneHeart S1A Semi Automatic AED

The BeneHeart S1A semi-automatic AED defibrillator is part of Mindray’s S series. With clear voice guidance, built-in CPR coaching and durable construction, it supports both first-time users and experienced responders when every second counts. This semi-automatic version advises when a shock is needed and the rescuer presses the shock button to deliver it. Designed for public access and demanding environments, it offers straightforward operation, long-life consumables and automatic self-tests to support ongoing AED readiness.

  • First shock in under 8 seconds: QShock™ technology enables the device to power on in under 2 seconds and analyse the heart rhythm in under 5 seconds. It charges during ECG analysis, allowing the first shock to be delivered in under 8 seconds under the specified test conditions, excluding pad application time.
  • Intelligent ResQNavi™ voice guidance: Adaptive voice prompts provide instructions tailored to the rescuer’s actions and experience. If someone hesitates or takes longer to apply the pads, the AED provides more detailed guidance, helping less experienced users work through the rescue process.
  • Pre-connected adult and child electrode pads: The pre-connected, electrode pads (disposable) are designed for both adults and children. A dedicated adult/child mode switch adjusts the selected energy and provides appropriate CPR guidance, simplifying the transition between patient modes.
  • Built-in CPR coaching: Voice guidance, a CPR metronome and continuous encouragement help rescuers follow the CPR process. The device supports 30:2, 15:2 and hands-only CPR configurations. Optional real-time CPR feedback is available when configured with a compatible CPR sensor.
  • Biphasic defibrillation up to 360 J: The S1A uses a biphasic truncated exponential (BTE) waveform with automatic voltage and duration compensation for patient impedance. The selectable energy range is 100–360 J for adults and 10–200 J for children. Default escalating energy settings are 200–300–360 J for adults and 100–100–200 J for children.
  • Rugged construction for challenging environments: With an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance and a 1.5 m drop-test rating, the S1A is designed to withstand demanding conditions. Its specified operating temperature range is -5°C to 50°C, with short-term storage from -30°C to 70°C for up to 7 days and long-term storage from 15°C to 35°C.
  • Long-life battery and electrode pads: The disposable lithium manganese dioxide battery has a specified standby life of 5 years at 20°C ±5°C, subject to daily auto-testing and the wireless function being switched off. The electrode pads have a shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacture, helping reduce routine replacement requirements.
  • Automatic self-tests and readiness indicators: Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly self-tests help monitor the device’s status. Visual indicators provide information about system readiness, supporting routine AED checks and maintenance.
  • Optional remote AED monitoring: Optional Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity, including 4G, enables data transfer to Mindray’s AED-Alert™ 2.0 system, subject to configuration and availability. The system supports centralised device management, fault notifications and battery and pad expiry reminders.
  • Compact design with a clear display: Measuring approximately 21.0 × 28.6 × 7.8 cm and weighing 2.0 kg ±0.4 kg, including one battery but excluding wireless modules, the S1A is designed for convenient placement and transport. Its 1.96-inch dot-matrix display and optional language selection for up to three languages support straightforward operation.
  • Event recording and data export: The S1A can store up to 500 events, up to 1 hour of voice recordings, up to 5 hours of CPR data and 1,000 self-test reports. Stored data can be exported using a USB flash drive to support review and device management.
